Betting on Champions League

Winning the match and qualifying are not the same outcome. In a knockout tie, a side can lose the return leg and still advance on aggregate.

Read the market name before backing a team. A standard match-result bet excludes extra time; a qualification bet follows the outcome of the tie.

Champions League betting markets

Match result

Back the home win, draw or away win. Standard 1X2 bets settle after 90 minutes plus added time, without extra time.

BTTS

Both sides must score for BTTS Yes to win. A 1-0 result loses; 1-1 wins.

Over/Under 2.5

Over 2.5 needs at least three goals. Under 2.5 wins with two goals or fewer.

Before placing a bet

  1. For a second leg, check the aggregate score before choosing a bet. The team leading the tie does not have to win the match to advance.
  2. Do not treat a to-qualify price as a 90-minute win price. They cover different outcomes.
