Three formats, one stake. Paste odds in any format and we'll show the payout, profit, and implied probability.
Stake & Return Calculator
Enter odds in any format. We convert and compute the payout.
Odds formats, the short version
Decimal odds (2.05) include your stake — multiply by stake for the total payout. Fractional odds (21/20) show the profit only — add stake for payout. American moneyline (+105) means NGN 100 profit on NGN 100 stake; negative numbers show how much you stake to win NGN 100.
Nigerian sportsbooks default to decimal, which is the cleanest format for accas. Stick with decimal unless you're specifically doing an American market.

What this calculator does
Enter your stake and the decimal odds. The calculator returns the potential total payout (including your stake) and the pure profit (excluding your stake). This is the first calculation any bettor should learn to do mentally for small bets — it keeps you honest about what you are risking and what you would win.
Worked example
N2,000 at 2.40 decimal odds. Total return = 2,000 x 2.40 = N4,800. Profit = N4,800 - N2,000 = N2,800. Profit margin on the stake = 140%.
Nigerian context
Most Nigerian operators show the payout live on the bet slip as you build it. Use this calculator when you are comparing two bets across two operators, or when you are doing mental math before opening the app.
Tip
If the payout looks too good for the stake (e.g. 20x for a single selection), you are probably looking at a very long-odds market where the true probability of winning is 3 to 5%. Calculate the implied probability (1 divided by the decimal odds) and ask whether you genuinely believe the real probability is higher.
