What we collect
When you use Bets.ng, we collect:
- Anonymous analytics (page views, referrer, device type) via Google Analytics
- Cookies required for site functionality (theme preference, session)
- Information you submit to contact forms
What we do NOT collect
- Your name, phone number or address unless you explicitly submit them
- Any payment or betting account information
- Anything from underage visitors
Third parties
We use Google Analytics for traffic analysis. When you click an affiliate link and sign up, the operator's own privacy policy applies to your account.
Your rights (NDPR / GDPR)
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold on you. Email privacy@bets.ng.

Data we collect
IP address, browser user-agent and basic device information (standard server logs, kept for 30 days).
Cookie identifiers for analytics (Google Analytics, rolling 14 months) and affiliate attribution (our operator partners, 30 days).
Email address when you write to us. We reply and keep the thread for 24 months for audit purposes.
Form data if you submit a contact form: name, email, message body. Stored in our support inbox.
We do not collect financial information. We do not process payments. We do not hold a single naira of reader money at any time.
Data we do not collect
Your account details at any betting operator (we have no way to see them).
Your bank account, debit card, BVN or NIN.
Your betting history.
Your real name, unless you give it to us in an email.
Who we share data with
Google Analytics — aggregated traffic stats.
Our operator partners, for affiliate tracking only — they see a click came from Bets.ng, not who you are.
Nigerian law enforcement or regulators if validly and lawfully compelled, which has not happened to date.
Your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023
Access — request a copy of the data we hold on you.
Correction — ask us to fix data that is wrong.
Deletion — ask us to erase your data, which we will unless we have a legal requirement to retain (typically 30 days for server logs).
Objection — withdraw consent for cookies at any time via the cookie banner.
Complaint — escalate to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission if you are not satisfied with our response.
How to exercise your rights
Email privacy@bets.ng from the address the data relates to. We will respond within 30 days.
Include ‘DPA request’ in the subject line so it routes to the right person.
